Financial Empower Center at South County

Web design & CiviCRM Integration

The Background

Britepaths came to us in late 2017 looking for website design and development. They had just begun working with the United Way of the National Capital Area and Fairfax County’s Neighborhood and Community Services to establish a new Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) at South County.

Britepaths’ requirements were very unique. Their non-profit organization needed a way to manage hundreds of members. They needed the ability to centralize communication, manage donors, and manage memberships. The final requirement was that the website had to be ready in less than 4 weeks.

The Solution

We were proud to work with them and deliver a website that was mobile ready, fast, and reliable in only 3 weeks’ time. They didn’t need to be hands-on with us, since we understood the requirements and were independent in meeting their needs. This allowed their staff to focus on connecting with Financial Volunteers and to market the new services to the community.

During the integration period, we also delivered tailored solutions for their non-profit needs. We integrated CiviCRM and WordPress so that they had the ability to manage donors, volunteers, members, and much more.

The services delivered empowered the Financial Empowerment Center to fulfill its mission. By early 2018 the workshops were running at full steam and empowering 121 community members. By mid-2018 United Way was looking to expand its presence in the area given the phenomenal results that the Britepaths organization was able to deliver to the local community.

Grand Opening of the Financial Empowerment Center at South County

“United Way NCA’s goal for these Financial Empowerment Centers is to help area residents overcome academic, social and economic barriers to success through a two-generational approach focused on children and families,” said Rosie Allen-Herring, President and CEO, United Way NCA. “Our plan is to open several more centers in the next few years as part of our Community Commitment, a $12.3 million investment to address the education, financial stability and health of residents in the region. We are currently in year three of this five-year effort and our goal is to help 100,000 residents achieve financial stability.”

I was impressed with [Your Are All Set’s] conscientiousness and professionalism. They went out their way to make sure I understood my options. They were responsive and met deadlines. I found them easy to work with and they listened to my ideas, and were willing to learn new things. I highly recommend them.
